Senior Systems Control Engineer, Bulk Automation, Llanidloes

Due to continuing growth, we are looking to recruit another Senior Systems Control Engineer. Main role will be working on customer projects from workshop building through to installation and final commissioning of the project. You will be responsible for the electrical installation of our equipment using Siemens PLC, HMI, inverters, robotic and pneumatic systems.

Role & Responsibilities:

·       Assist in the building of control panels and automation systems

·       Develop PLC, HMI, and Robotic programmes.

·       Carry out on site installation and commissioning

·       Carry out factory acceptance test (FAT).

·       Mentor and Develop Junior controls engineers within Bulk Automation.

·       Train operators on site with use of machinery following installation.

·         Provide technical support to clients when required

·         To be responsible for the recording of parts used and diagnostics of each breakdown

·       Provide written technical reports and other documentation as required by customers.

·       Report to senior management on project progress.

·       Workshop/Site time spilt approx. 50/50

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

·        Familiarization with Siemens PLC’s is and ABB robotic systems is desirable.

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience in reactive and small project maintenance.

·        Full UK driving license.

·        Ability to work on own or as part of a team.

·        Happy to travel to various site across UK mainly and Europe when required.

·        Good communication and customer service skills with a proactive approach.

·        Understanding of equipment mechanics and equipment design

·        IT Literate

·        Good time keeping and planning skills

·        Ability to report clear concise information on worksheets

The working week is Monday – Friday normal hours between 7:30 – 16:30
