Funded Help to Grow Workshops - Final cohort now being recruited

Final cohort now being recruited

Introducing Cardiff Metropolitan University’s UK funded Help to Grow Management Programme. Our next cohort is due to start in October 2024 and as an exclusive offer to members of the MWMG we are going to waive the £750 fee which means you can access the £7,500 programme for FREE through a Cardiff Met bursary.

There are 12 modules in total over 12 weeks, 9 of which are on-line (9 x 2hrs) and the remaining 4 are in person at Cardiff Met (4 x 4hrs), so travel is kept to a minimum. You will have access to a range of topics delivered by experienced speakers in parallel to obtaining 10 hours of 1-2-1 mentoring from a UK wide group of mentors.

What have you got to lose? To register, follow this link Cohort 13. Please note that Cardiff Met’s bursary contribution will be applied after you have registered.

Why Help to Grow?

SMEs form the life blood of our vibrant economy, yet business leaders often report feeling unsupported and isolated as they battle with the challenges of achieving growth in difficult circumstances. Help to Grow is exactly what it says on the tin – a strategic leadership and management course designed to help you grow your business. At Cardiff Met, we see supporting and empowering business as one of the most important ways we can contribute to a vibrant economy. We are one of the few Welsh universities with the accreditation necessary to deliver Help to Grow, which is now in its fourth year.

What is Help to Grow?

Help to Grow is designed with time-poor business leaders and entrepreneurs in mind. It is delivered through short and focussed sessions, mostly online and backed up by a high level of individual and group support.  In addition to the 12 workshop modules, Help to Grow delegates benefit from access to facilitated small group support and up to 10 hours of 1-2-1 time with a professional business mentor.

This helps you to actively implement your learning and create meaningful business improvements which have a rapid impact on the ‘bottom line’.

Our previous delegates tell us it works and report:

  • Growth in profit

  • Growth in confidence

  • Growth in opportunity

  • Growth in employment

Am I eligible?

There are a small number of eligibility criteria laid out by the Government funders:

  • A business between 5 and 249 employees.

  • Trading for at least one year

  • Not a charity (although CIC’s are welcome)
