INTRODUCING MWMG’S NEW DIRECTORS

Mid Wales Maufacturing Group are pleased to introduce our newest directors, Michael Miles and Dr Julie Jones.

Newtown-based Mid Wales Manufacturing Group was set up in 1994 as a membership based organisation to support Manufacturing & Engineering companies in the Mid Wales Region.  The not for profit organisation is steered by volunteer directors.

Micahael Miles has a wide and varied experience in Business Management. He retired as Managing Director of Technocover after 17 years’ service, also being a shareholder before the Company was sold to a U.K. PLC. The Welshpool based Company who employed over 150 persons produce and install, High Security steel Access products, Cabinets and Modular buildings for the Utilities and Rail markets.

Prior to Technocover, Michael spent almost 10 years working for a French building products Group of Companies as Managing Director for the UK, Middle and Far East operations. He enjoys watching sport and being a volunteer mentor to small businesses in Wales.

Dr Julie Jones is a lecturer in marketing at Aberystwyth University, a senior examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and marketing director for Advantage Automotive Ltd who develop and product windscreen wash systems for the automotive industry and blow mould low volume, and often technical mouldings for clients nationally and internationally.

Prior to working at the University, Julie led an EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) wide team for IBM for a number of years before  setting up her own marketing consultancy specialising in Strategic Marketing and CRM/Customer Care for SMEs in the manufacturing and finance industries predominantly.
