Local Entrepreneurs Share Their Knowledge
The latest Mid Wales Business Networking event was held at NPTC Newtown College on 26th March. The events which are held in conjunction with Business Wales and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce to be a platform for the businesses of Mid Wales to come together, share information, opportunities, learning and challenges, a forum where the business community, can support each other.
Local Entrepreneur Nick Evans, Founder of EvaBuild provided a portrayal of the companies growth, the pitfalls to avoid and looked at the companies development in becoming a High Growth Business including finance, people and strategy.
Stuart Owen from Advanced Building Designs provided guest with an insight into a project he has been heavily involved with from Open Newtown. Having recently completed the signing of a 99-year lease, for a 130+ acre Community Asset Transfer, between Powys County Council and Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council this has lead to securing a grant from Big Lottery, which in turn has fuelled additional financial support for other projects around the town and the feasibility of a Business Improvement District to potentially provide additional resource and support for further improvements in the town which can make Newtown a fabulous destination for all including existing staff, and as a means to attract new staff.
