JOB TITLE: Engineering Apprentice

LOCATION:   U79, Newtown 

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

This role will cover a wide range of duties into the Industrial Engineering Team to understand and work on the process to help produce safe and productive solutions for manufacturing. This role would be an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to start a career in engineering. Full training will be given in this role. The successful candidate will also be required to work towards a recognized qualification whilst working, depending on the qualification this may involve attending college each week.

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·    To process safe engineering solutions

·    Understanding the different elements of a production line from Surface Mount, Conventional and the Module Build and including the various elements around it (Options, Preform, Breakout, etc)

·    Knowledge of the different equipment on all production lines and a basic understanding of how they work

·    Understanding the different KPI of each section and how the production and process team work together to achieve output

·    Shadowing the different teams on their day to day activities and able to participate to gain experience.

·    Responsibility for small projects with deliverables that impact production

·    Working closely with the production and test teams to understand faults and the implementation of fixes

Contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of equipment

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel

·    Travel will be expected between the Newtown sites.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·       5 GCSE’s including Maths and English

·    A good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
