Implementing GDPR Workshop

MWMG & Mid Wales Chamber have arranged workshops which will centre on providing SMEs with implementation guidance of GDPR.  GoSecure is able to provide specialist help in terms of GDPR implementation workshops for SMEs within Mid-Wales.  

This will be delivered in the form of two workshop session as follows:

  1. Workshop #1 – Tuesday 27th March 2018 1330-1630

·         Overview of EU GDPR

·         12 Step action plan

·         Signposting of resources and templates, eg: Information inventory, Gaining consent, Privacy notices

·         Develop tailored action plans

·         Walk through an example Information Inventory audit

2.      Workshop #2 – Tuesday 17th April 2018 1330-1630

·         Overview of security requirements

·         Security incident process

·         Subject access request process

·         Review progress against tailored action plans

·         Review Information Inventory results

The workshops will centre on providing SMEs with implementation guidance on the following key GDPR questions/requirements:

  • That staff are aware that the rules are changing concerning data protection

  • The we know what information we hold eg type, location, source and sharing arrangements

  • We are effectively communicating privacy notifications

  • Are we ensuring that individuals’ rights are observed, ie

    • the right to be informed

    • the right of access

    • the right to rectification

    • the right to erasure

    • the right to restrict processing

    • the right to data portability

    • the right to object

    • the right not to be subject to automated decision making including profiling

  • Do we have a subject access request process in place

  • Do we have a lawful basis for processing personal data ie contract requirements

  • Can we effectively (and can evidence)  the consent of individuals to hold and process their personal data

  • That under 18’s we verify individuals’ ages in order to obtain parental or guardian consent

  • That a Security Incident process is working to detect, report and investigate personal data breaches

  • That data protection requirements are consider in system/process design and project work

  • That Data Protection Impact Assessments are carried out

  • That a Data Protection Officer is in place and responsibilities are defined

  • That we are able to determine lead data protection supervisory authority

Costs

Members Rate (MWMG or Mid Chamber) - £200 plus VAT

Non Members Rate - £300 plus VAT

Please Note:

  • There is a 3 week break between the 2 workshops for SMEs to complete initial GDPR implementation work
  • GoSecure will be available for one hour after each workshop to provide individual advice and guidance
  • Any engagement beyond the ½ day workshops by individual SMEs with be via separate commercial negation directly with GoSecure
